I grew up surrounded by music with both my parents being professional musicians and music educators. I began playing piano at the age of 4 before gravitating to the guitar and studies with my father beginning at the age of 6. This led me to further studies in composition as well as the classical guitar through the Toronto Royal Conservatory.
After high school I completed a degree in classical animation at the Vancouver Film School and was privileged to have studied privately with world renowned Oscar award winning animator Richard Williams.
In my early twenties I began performing in various pop type groups but ultimately settled on Jazz guitar in the classic tradition playing the great standards in a melodic style on the 7 string guitar. I have always loved the Gypsy Jazz genre and continue to build my repertoire and technique in that area.
I currently develop websites and web applications for local and international clients as well as our website My Guitar Pal. I continue to record at home and have had over 30 of my compositions used for syndicated TV. My Dad and I continue to work together as a guitar team and we gig regularly.
